“Once again I want to thank you so much for making our Canadian Association for Parish Nursing Conference and AGM such a success.
Andrew, it was such a pleasure dealing with you. You were so accommodating, especially when we did not get the numbers that we were hoping for. The conference space that you re-planned for us was excellent and more than met our needs.
Shannon, the food and the catering were absolutely wonderful. You could not have done more to meet our needs. The one little glitch for the break time on Friday morning was so well covered. All of the meals were great – and the people serving and managing were so helpful and attentive.
Caleb, I did not get to meet you but paying the bill was made so easy. I came by the hotel Friday at about noon and you were busy so I left the cheque with the supervisor at the reception desk.
On our conference evaluation forms over half of the registrants commented on how well taken care of they felt by all of the hotel staff, right from the people making up the rooms to servers, reception staff, everyone. I also received many verbal comments throughout the weekend on how much people really enjoyed the hotel. There was a motion put forward during our AGM to only have the conference every two years instead of every year. Someone commented that we really didn't need so much luxury. One of our long time members stood up and said, that, although that was probably true, she had felt so grateful to be able to come and be taken care off instead of always being the care taker. The motion was soundly defeated.
I really cannot say enough good things about the Lord Elgin and the way that we were treated. Thank you so much.”

“On behalf of the Association, Canadian Mineral Analysts, my conference planning committee comprised of myself, Jonathan Forrest, Christine Scriver, Barbara Merryweather, and Larry Drago and all of the delegates and exhibitors who attended the event I would like to thank you and your staff for doing a superb job of attending to all of the social, technical and exhibitor events over the course of the week of Sept 17-20, 2007.
I received and continue to receive compliments from delegates and exhibitors alike in the selection of the venue, your hotel as the choice for the 2007 conference. Everyone I spoke with during the event was extremely pleased with the service, attention to smallest details and the polite and courteous manner in which your personnel dealt with all of the questions, issues, requests, or problems that any of the guests brought forward.
The membership was very impressed with the level of service they received from the opening, beginning with the Wine and Cheese event on Sept 17 to the close at the banquet on Sept 19. Many comments on the fantastic job with the Wine and Cheese and I thank you for your advice on the Brie and Cranberry it was a big hit.
I would especially like to thank Yanik Bedard, Stefanie Seguin, Ron Ahern and Stefanie from banquets for the effort they put forward.
In closing ladies and gentlemen I have yet to hear anything but praise for facility and all of your staff and I know that from the comments I have received they will be talking about the Ottawa 2007 conference at the Historic Lord Elgin Hotel for years to come.
We thank you for making the event one to remember and I wish you and your staff continued success in the future.”
